CMIC Appoints Wendy S. Barclay to Fill New Communications Role

GLASTONBURY, CT – April 21, 2008 – CMIC, a leading doctor-owned medical malpractice insurer serving Connecticut and Massachusetts, today announced that it has named Wendy S. Barclay to fill the newly formalized position of communications specialist.

Barclay is responsible for developing and managing CMIC’s communications with policyholders, media outlets, government entities and the general public. She is also responsible for leading strategic brand management initiatives.

Barclay brings 12 years of marketing and communications experience to her new position at CMIC. Prior to joining CMIC, Barclay served as director of marketing, creative and communications at ZC Sterling Corporation, a mortgage insurance provider. She also held marketing and brand management positions at Steve Boyle & Associates and the Chamber of Commerce in St. Cloud, MN.
