CMIC Group Employees Select Warm the Children for $1,500 Donation
GLASTONBURY, CT – February 2016 – CMIC Group, a medical professional liability insurance company headquartered in Glastonbury, CT, recently donated $1,500 to Warm the Children.
CMIC employees took part in a company-sponsored stepping competition and elected to donate their winnings to Warm the Children.
“Warm the Children is fulfilling a basic, but critical need,” said Denise Funk, CMIC Group CEO. “They are also bestowing families with the peace of mind that their children will be adequately equipped for the winter elements, a comfort that goes far beyond providing winter clothing.”
Warm the Children’s stated mission is to provide new warm winter clothing for children of needy families. This is accomplished through collaboration with local newspapers, other charities, social service agencies and schools, and cooperating retailers.
Denise Funk, Denise Condron, CMIC’s Director of Loss Prevention, and Marc Grabulis, CMIC’s Systems Administrator, presented the contribution to Mack Stewart, founder of Warm the Children, and Lynn Baldoni, the Middletown Kiwanis - Warm The Children coordinator. The presentation took place at the Cantina Restaurant of Middletown, Connecticut during a Kiwanis meeting.
